TOURNAMENT RULES
Girls can bunt.
Fake bunting and hitting away is not allowed.
If you swing and miss, you are called out.  If you hit it fair, you are ejected.
No stealing.
Big ball/small ball format.
7 + 3 format.
You must start with at least 10 and finish with at least 9.
You may set you batting order as you wish.  There are no restrictions.
You may bat two EP (one of each or two female)
If you are playing with EP and you are reduced by one or two players you will play with an automatic out(s).
If you play 6 + 4 at anytime during the round robin portion of the tourney you must finish the tourney playing 6 + 4.
6' to 10' arc on pitches (umpire's discretion).
Pitcher and catcher cannot, at any time, be the same gender.
No commitment line going home.
At the umpire's discretion, if a baserunner going home stops short of the scoring line to avoid being called out and
to entice the catcher to come off of home plate to tag them, so they can then cross safely, will be called out.
No courtesy runners will be allowed at any time.
If a male walks with a female following the male is awarded a double and the
female has the OPTION to bat or take first base.
All innings are open.
Mercy rule is 20 after three, 15 after four and 10 after five or six.
You do not get your last at bats if you are in a mercy situation or leading after six and a half innings.
If you want all your at bats, then take visitors.
Games may start up to 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled start time.
Be at your game, READY TO PLAY, 20 minutes before the scheduled start time.
All games have an 80-minute time slot - unless they are started early.
No inning shall start after the 70-minute time-limit has been reached (additional time is in place if a game starts early).
Games start when the umpire calls for the first batter.
If in the umpire's judgment, a team is stalling they can award bases or call batters or baserunners out.
In extreme cases the umpire has the right to forfeit a game.  If this happens the offending
team will subsequently be ejected from future play in the tournament.
Umpire's judgment is final.
Protests will only be heard on an interpretation of a playing rule.
Protest fee of $75 in cash is required at the time of the protest.  Fee is refunded if you win your protest.
Protest must be in writing and delivered to the Tournament Convener.
You must notify the umpire and the opposition that you are protesting the game immediately.
Protests must be dealt with, before the next pitch.
Tournament committee reserves the right to make judgments in the best interest of the tournament as a whole.
3 + 1 up home run rule will be in effect.
Third strike foul ball is dead.  Baserunners cannot advance.
If a foul ball will be strike three, the play is dead.  Catch the ball and keep the game moving.
Baserunners may advance if the foul ball would be strike one or two.
Teams that hit balls out of play are responsible to go and get them.
Umpires can call batters out if teams fail to retrieve balls.  Send someone right away.  Subs, kids, whatever.
Winning team must turn in the Umpire's Card, ASAP, after the game.
NO ALCOHOL AT THIS EVENT.  Coolers can and will be searched regularly.
Anyone found with outside alcohol ANYWHERE IN THE PARK risk ejection from the event.
