Game 1 – [HONOLULU]  The 2014 version of the Diamond Head Classic tipped off at the Stan Sheriff Center at the University of Hawai’i @ Manoa with a battle between George Washington Colonials (6-3) and Ohio Bobcats (3-4).

The game started out with the Colonials running up an 11-2 lead less than 5-minutes into the game.  The Bobcats charged back with their own 5-minute run to make it an 18-16 game just before the 10-minute mark of the 1st half.  Over the last 10-minutes of the 1st half the teams were evenly matched with each team trading mini-runs of their own.  With 2-mintues to go in the 1st half G. W. held a 43-34 and then both the offenses stalled and there was no more scoring.

In the 2nd half it was the Colonials’ defence that stepped up and they ran off a 34-15 half for a 77-49 victory.

The Colonials were led by Kevin Larsen with 19 and Ryan Taylor had 13 for the Bobcats.

Game 2 – [HONOLULU]  The Colorado Buffaloes (6-3) finished the 1st half up three at 36-33 over the DePaul Blue Demons (6-4).  The 2nd half was a whole lot of Buffalo as they put up a solid 46-35 have to secure their seventh win of the season with an 82-68 victory.

Darlus Carter and Tekele Cotton each had a dozen for the Shockers as a balanced attack saw an astounding 13 of 15 players hit the scoresheet.  The Lions were led by Evan Payne with 15.

Game 4 – [HONOLULU]  The feature game of the night saw the host Rainbow Warriors of Hawai’i (8-3) taking on the Cornhuskers of Nebraska (6-3).

The Warriors were led by Aaron Valdes with 15 while supported by Scarborough’s Negus Webster-Chan with seven and Mississauga’s Stefan Jankovic had five.
