Team Camp Format:
Instruction & Individual/Team Contests will be from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (Noon) from
Monday to Thursday.  Please be in your designated gym FIFTEEN (15) minutes early.
Check the schedule carefully to know where you are to be every day.  Report errors or any
inconsistencies to Rich Goulet ASAP.
League Play occurs every day from Sunday to Thursday.  Each team plays TEN (10) games.
Please be familiar with Game Rules (in this package)… and keep track of your record for
the week as the tourneys on Friday are dependant on them.  Seeding is done based on your
league record and other factors listed on the page titled CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY.
Playoffs or Championship Friday - every team is seeded into a playoff tourney
for play on Friday.  Each tourney plays for a Camp Championship.  See page titled
CHAMPIONSHIP FRIDAY for more information.
Your Role as a Coach:
1. Be informed!.  Read the booklet - COMPLETELY.  Ask questions of instructors and/or
coaches that have been there before and they will help you.
2. Get your team to the gym on time in the morning.  There are penalties for being late.
3. Instruction - You are expected to coach your team or help during morning instruction and
contests.  Be in the gym at all times and volunteer your services if necessary.  No talking
to other coaches while instruction is on.
4. Coach your team within the rules.  The camp is a learning situation for everyone.  Be
competitive but help maintain order (sportsmanship), especially in games.
5. Respect the referees.  This camp is not trying to supply the same game situation you
would get in the regular season.  We have one referee per game and the referee cannot
always see everything.  As a coach, you have to help maintain order (or restore order) if
things get out of hand.  All referees do FIVE (5) games a day.  Have patience.
What you should have brought with you:
1. A team set of basketballs… WELL MARKED with your school's name on them.  No one
leaves a gym at 12:00 PM (Noon) each day unless all balls are accounted for.
2. Numbered jerseys or uniforms.
3. Clipboard, pens etc.
4. Camp booklet.  Keep this booklet with you at all times.
Awards:
1. Tournament Champions (Friday) - Championship T-Shirts (awarded immediately after
the last game in your Tournament Draw)
2. Individual Winners (Daily) - PowerAde water bottle & a chocolate bar
3. Team Winner in each gym (Daily) - Coca-Cola
Camp Finale:
Teams are free to leave WHEN they have played their last game.  T-Shirts will be awarded
to the Tournament (division) Champions immediately after their last game.
