INDIVIDUAL CONTESTS
ONE ON ONE
1. Start the game with "handle" 15' - 18' from the basket.
2. The offensive player has THREE (3) seconds in which to initiate the offense and can use a
maximum of THREE (3) dribbles.  If a player shoots and regains his rebound, he will have
further THREE (3) dribbles to attempt another shot.
3. Alternating possession of FOUR (4) plays.  A possession consists of a player having the
ball until he scores or his opponent get possession.
4. A winner is proclaimed at any time in the FOUR (4) possession when it is mathematically
impossible for his opponent to win.  Otherwise, at the end of 4 possessions the player
with the most baskets wins.
5. If the games is tied at the end of FOUR (4) possessions, each player gets ONE (1)
possession until the tie is resolved.
6. PLEASE NOTE:  Common fouls (not in the act of shooting) is a re-handle.  Shooting fouls
count as a basket.
7. If there are coaches refereeing, their calls are FINAL.
8. After it is over, SHAKE HANDS and the winner report back to the gym's Master Coach.
FREE THROW CONTEST
1. All players are given an opponent to play against.
2. Each player shoots FIVE (5) shots in the following order:
Player A - 2 shots; Player B - 2 shots; Player A - 2 shots; Player B - 2 shots
Player A - 1 shot; Player B - 1 shot
3. The game is over when if becomes mathematically clear that a player has won the game,
4. If both players are tied, they will continue to shoot ONE (1) shot each until the tie is broken.
5. After it is over, SHAKE HANDS and the winner report back to the gym's Master Coach.
4-UP SHOOTING CONTEST
1. The 4-UP Shooting contest consists of TWO (2) player shooting 17' shots from the corners
of the key (elbows).
2. Players shoot from their corner, rebound and go shoot from the opposite corner.
3. The first player to arrive at the corner gets the first opportunity to shoot, his opponent
cannot jump in front of him.  His opponent, however, can go behind him and shoot.
4. Players keep track of their scores OUT LOUD.
5. The first player to score FOUR (4) more points than his opponent - wins.
Example --- 4-0; 5-1; 6-2; 7-3; 8-4; 9-5.
6. For the sake of the camp (time restraints), close games will be determined by the player
that reaches TEN (10) baskets first.
7. Note:  No player is allowed to purposely touch of mishandle in any way their opponent's
basketball.  This action will result in immediate forfeiture of the game.
8. After it is over, SHAKE HANDS and the winner report back to the gym's Master Coach.
TEAM CONTESTS
TEAM SHOOTING
1. FOUR (4) spots at each basket are indicated and explained by the Master Coach.
These spots are 15' - 17' away from the hoop.
2. All players line up at these spots.  Extra players behind the others at each spot.
3. TWO (2) passers with ball start the drill under their basket.
4. Basketball, a maximum of TWO (2), are passed to teammates and shot continuously until
the game is won by one of the competing teams.
5. Players shoot, rebound and pass to a new spot and replace the player they passed to.
6. First team to TEN (10) baskets wins.
7. The games usually consists of the best of THREE (3) of FIVE (5).  Where there are ample
hoops and all the teams can go at once, the first team to score THREE (3) victories of
TEN (10) wins the match.
TEAM 3 ON 3
1. All teams are divided into THREE (3) on THREE (3) teams, maximum of THREE (3) groups.
2. The Master Coach will seed teams to various baskets - THREE (3) in total.
3. Teams play king of the hill for the amount of time on the clock.  One coach referees while
another keeps score.
4. Rules:
The game MUST start with a pass!
Maximum of TWO (2) dribbles by any player at any one time.
Defensive out of bounds and jump balls are a replay of the possession.
The 1st foul is a replay of the possession; the 2nd foul is a point for the offensive team.
5. All teams keep track of their score.  The team with the largest number of points
accumulated by all of their THREE (3) on THREE (3) teams wins.
TEAM FAST BREAK
1. This is a FOUR (4) on TWO (2) continuous drill.  Each camp team divided itself into
TWO (2) teams with a minimum of FOUR (4) players per team.  Extra players do not get
involved like everyone else.
2. The coach sends THREE (3) of these mini teams to the court and they play for THREE (3)
or FOUR (4) minutes depending on the time available.
3. The teams have SEVEN (7) seconds from the point of the possession to fast break up the
floor and shoot.
4. Coaches are counting, refereeing and scorekeeping.
5. The scores are reported to the Master Coach at the end of each mini game.
6. The team with the highest score (counting its two mini-teams) wins the contest.
